San Diego Zoo in Review by: Jader C.

Animal exhibitions have had a less than pleasant history from the abusive nature of circus animals to poachers stripping animals of their limbs and organs to show as trophies. The San Diego Zoo, however,  is the antithesis of those things, as it treats its animals with care and attentiveness as these animals are all given proper environments that attempt to mimic their original habitats and give the animals a home protected from harm.

The San Diego Zoo has  been around since 1916 and has been a major player when it comes to the rehabilitation of endangered species. They also take part in research for saving these animals from extinction and try to stabilize these animals and insure that hey will be safe before returning them to their wildlife. Many of these animals are treated nicely by the staff at San Diego Zoo and take part in various programs that are offered that have the common goal of giving these animals. Overall the experience is pleasant for both the guest and the animals, making for an experience that anyone and everyone can enjoy.
