Boston Children's Museum, by Valeria C.

The place I chose to research was the Boston Children's Museum due to the fact that, growing up, it was a place I went too, often. I chose the place to find out more about the reason it was built and how long it's been around. The most interesting thing about being there is that  kids learn through play and we create new knowledge. It is famous for its fun activities and hands on games. It is the second oldest children's museum. There are 23 exhibits in the building. They plan events a few times a month. There are 11 programs in the building as of right now. The history behind it is that it was founded on august 1,1913. It was built 107 years ago. The CEO and president of the largest children's museum is Carole Charnow. The CEO as of right now had been the CEO since 2010. A quote from the Boston Children's Museum “Generations of children have enjoyed learning about science, culture, the arts, literacy, health, the environment and more in our museum. We know your children will love it too. And because each of our exhibits and programs are designed for children and the adults in their lives…you might have just as much fun as your kids do.” This just shows what the museum is all about and its purpose. The most important thing to know about this place is that it's not just games, it's a way for children to learn through play. Well we grow up we learn through play and expand our knowledge.
